Committee or Board Training


CMAP offers free management training to committee or board representatives of local government funded non profit community services. Training provides the underpinning knowledge to assist committees or boards implement effective management practices within an organisation.


Training is held on an individual organisation basis. CMAP will travel to your venue at a date and time that best suits your committee or board (after hours or weekends included). If your committee or board wishes to arrange a training session email us at cmapemnc@bigpond.com


Governance: constitution; meeting procedures; agendas and minutes of meetings; management committee or board roles and responsibilities; NSW Incorporation (for associations), ASIC (for companies limited by guarantee) and Australian Charities & Not for Profits Commission (ACNC) obligations (including compliance with ACNC governance standards).


Financial Management & Interpreting Financial Reports: key components of financial reports; accrual versus cash accounting; employee leave provisioning; asset depreciation; interpreting financial reports; liabilities and equity reserves.


Sessions are tailored around your organisationís own financial reports to ensure greater relevance and benefit.


Effective Leadership: provides a basic understanding of leadership to instil confidence and foster future involvement in a leadership role within community management.
